Everybody loves to hate Dubya. Hating George Bush has become a major main stream thing it appears - also in the US. The strange thing is how he managed to win the election when so many people hate him. Not really, over half the people in the US actually likes George. A lot of people are afraid of actually saying that they like Bush. Not a flip flopper. The mob will turn on you if you acknowledge your sympathy.
One of the most admirable treats of GWB is that he is able to go after some goals that he believes are important and doing so while it is mainly unpopular. In today's universe many people chose to be popular even if that means to sell out every little piece of what you personally think is the right and important thing to do. It is so much more comfortable to go with the flow of the mainstream.
The reason for the people in Europe hating Bush so much really comes down to the lack influence they have. The European countries feel totally impaired. What else can the Europeans do than run their anti-Bush campaigns. Bush is the president, but it all comes down to them hating the US and the Republican Party as a system and a whole, and GWB becomes the personification of that system.
